I am gutted, I had to change my TV channel and had to slap my son. Today I realised what it is like, to bring up your very young child in a wrong surroundings or culture (we are in 21st century).
My son is just 2 years and 5 months old. I was watching this stupid “Shameless” serial, its a family drama. This serial is full of foul language and is packed with sex, drugs, gratuitous violence, love and scams.
One of the characters in the serial was using Fuck word again and again. My son who was busy playing with his toys (I thought so) picked it up and started shouting the F word. Now this is a very common word or language here, but we as “Indians” never use this language in our house and never in front of our kid. But I am thinking how long can I stop him or slap him for using this word. I mean what about, when he will start his school and will have friends from other cultures.
God! I will not have a goodnight sleep today.

It’s not that lesbian word is new to me or that I am not aware of this lesbian culture taking over the world. But until now I had never ever seen any lesbian couple, though I and my hubby have experienced some tu-tu mein-mein with gay couple. Now that will be a separate post.
But yesterday for the very first time I experienced the numbness of……when you look at two girls literally kissing and cuddling in an open public place like underground station. I was coming back home from ICICI Bank at Hyde Park to Finsbury Park when I saw these two girls fondling and having fun. When I slowly looked around to see the reaction of other people standing on the platform with me, I saw shocked to see that all the so called western people (angrej) were also embarrassed by those two girls.
But the girls care damn about all the audience and were purely enjoying their time together.
I wanted to take their kissing picture, as I always carry my digital camera with me for these lovely moments. But got little scared and embarrassed by the whole situation because the platform just went quite during the kissing and cuddling scene.
And I narrated the entire episode to my hubby while sipping my latte.

Something is definitely wrong with Shekhar Suman, look at him. I mean the man is almost 47, why he has to be like this, looking horrible and like a gay model. Why can’t he dress up his own age? Video making is not an excuse for all this stupid makeover.
If you just focus on his face, you will see Shakti Kapoor there.

Amrita Arora was recently gifted a new cellphone LG Prada by her cricketer boyfriend
Usman Afzal on her last trip to London. And I can’t believe the way she is been parading it in front of media and cameras.
Amrita sweetheart, it’s not a big deal, LG Prada just cost £200 maximum on ebay and may be just couple of £s more at LG stores in London. Which means it just cost Rs.16,000 in Indian market. You could have gifted it to yourself, I am sure you can afford that.
Next time ask your boyfriend to gift you something big and expensive like diamonds or a designer watch. Afterall gifts illustrate your financial status in the society.

Ranvir, Vinay aur… Kaun? Nobody dear, we don’t want anybody else……you two are more than enough to make us go lot-pot.
Yeah right! We will soon see our comedy kings and very very talented actors, Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak coming together to host a celebrity show titled Ranvir, Vinay aur… Kaun ? The show will be aired on Star One. Produced by Lemon Tea Productions the show will air every Monday to Thursday at 10 pm.
Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak are very good friends and have been VJs on channel [V] before.
Talking about the show Vinay says, “It’s great to team up with Ranvir again. We’re going to have loads of fun and make sure the audience has a great time. The idea is not to have a very serious one-to-one interview but something that has scope for comic situations.”
When asked who’s the one person what he would dream to interview on the show Pathak says, “There’s not one, but there are many. I would love to get Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Aishwarya Rai, Mallika Sherawat and Vasundhara Raje on the show.” However, if he had to seriously grill someone, the Bheja Fry actor adds it would have to be Osama !
Ranvir too is quite excited about being a part of the project. He says, “The backdrop of our show is a bachelor’s apartment that Vinay and I stay in. So the guests won’t feel out of place and have a homely feel.”
Apart from throwing questions at the celebs, Ranvir and Vinay will also be seen cutting onions, making tea, and playing their favourite music instruments.
Shorey says that one person he would love to get on the show is Gwen Stefani as there’s no one like her. “If I had to grill some one then it would be Karan Thapar.”
Among the list of guests to be on the show is Saurabh Shukla, Konkona Sen Sharma and others.
Best of luck to you two.

I don’t know if in Kenya or Nairobi children’s get to wear nappies or not, but now for donkeys it is “must” to wear nappies.
Donkey owners in the Kenyan town of Limuru have a “big” problem. The main means of transport in the small town 50 km north-west of Nairobi are donkeys.
“Put nappies on your donkeys,” the mayor, James Kuria ordered donkey owners.
The council said the measure would come into effect on July 16 to ensure the town’s streets are kept clean. But recent press coverage and outrage from the town’s residents has led the authorities to put their plans on hold.
Water trader Simon Kamau, who uses donkeys to transport water to his clients, says, “The problem is that the donkey can give you a fatal kick.
I was once kicked by a donkey and it broke my leg. The council should come to us and show how to tie nappies on the donkeys,” Kamau says.
