Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy 21-year-old Zimbabwean arrived Heathrow from Johannesburg at 6.30am but when she cleared customs Harry was nowhere to be seen.

She spent nearly 40 minutes at Terminal 1 – mostly in Costa Coffee – being pursued by photographers until he eventually arrived. She had a face like thunder and was not pleased at being left waiting around.

Harry got to the airport at around 7.30am and started shouting at photographers. He was accompanied by his royal protection officers and some uniformed officers got involved too.

Chelsy has recovered from an appendix operation after collapsing in agony in South Africa last month, is expected to stay with Harry for at least a week.

The couple have not seen each other since the end of July when they went on holiday in Botswana.

“This was supposed to be the big reunion but it has not got off the best of starts,” said another source.

A Swedish hospital have banned their nurses from wearing Crocs shoes in the hospital over safety fears, hospital claims they generate static electricity that can knock out medical equipment. And a US hospital said syringes could fall through the holes, well this is a stupid excuse I say.

UK bosses have also given the plastic slippers the boot, saying they look unprofessional. Many nurses prefer the brightly coloured footwear to conventional shoes because they are comfortable on the wards.

Nurses walk up to five miles during a 12-hour shift. The ban on the rubbery clogs has caused a rift between nurses and their managers at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust.

Health chiefs are also concerned the sling back design and holes in the top and sides could spread infection.

But a supplier of Crocs said the patented Croslite resin used to make them is easier to clean than the materials in normal shoes. Croslite is also reputed to “resist bacteria” and stop feet smelling.

The £29 sandals have become popular in Britain after being launched in the US in 2003.

Halle berry, 41, is three months pregnant with her first baby.
