Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy 21-year-old Zimbabwean arrived Heathrow from Johannesburg at 6.30am but when she cleared customs Harry was nowhere to be seen.

She spent nearly 40 minutes at Terminal 1 – mostly in Costa Coffee – being pursued by photographers until he eventually arrived. She had a face like thunder and was not pleased at being left waiting around.

Harry got to the airport at around 7.30am and started shouting at photographers. He was accompanied by his royal protection officers and some uniformed officers got involved too.

Chelsy has recovered from an appendix operation after collapsing in agony in South Africa last month, is expected to stay with Harry for at least a week.

The couple have not seen each other since the end of July when they went on holiday in Botswana.

“This was supposed to be the big reunion but it has not got off the best of starts,” said another source.
