First anniversary of the Mumbai serial bomb blasts on commuter trains which killed 187 people and wounded more than 700 others. But the message was send loud and clear to the terrorists that mumbaikers are not scared of anything. Mumbai is the city which never goes to sleep, it’s on its toes 24/7. Nothing can shake us, we are solid like rock and stand hand-in-hand in difficult times.

I salute to the spirit people have in Mumbai, they were back on trains the very next day. People were terrified but same time they also want to show the world, nothing can hold them back and life goes on as usual. The chaos of the blast was only temporary.

Mumbai displayed a collective show of strength to shrug off the tragedy. This was summed up by a music composer, Sanjeev Kohli, who penned a moving reply to the bombers in a song which was sung by 20 singers.

“You cannot tame us by terror. You’ll see courageous Mumbai will again run on its tracks,” went the chorus line.
